What about trip to Canada?

Last spring and summer I experienced flying in British Columbia, during my stay in Canada for one year visa, and I would like to organize a trip for a few paragliders because it is definitely worth it :). In Canada, paragliding is still developing so there are plenty of amazing and underused launches in the beautiful and wild mountains.

I was flying there with my friend from the Czech Republic and later then with a local experienced paraglider – Czech-Canadian Zdeněk. Zdeněk would be able to arrange some cars so we don´t have to borrow it at a high price. At the same time he is familiar with local flight terrains.

The trip will take place tentatively cca from 15 May to 15 June. We will arrive in Vancouver then start flying at Pemberton and surroundings which is quite well known flight terrain with high ceilings, suitable for long crosscountry flights, north of Whistler. Then we will continue through south BC towards Calgary. There are plenty of amazing terrains along the way like Lumby (easy-going flying, crosscountry flights), Idaho Peak, Fernie (a lot of great launches, high mountains and ceilings), Golden and others.

In addition to lots of intense flying at beautiful and original sites, we could ride a wild river on the rafts, ride horses on mountains etc.

As to the price of the trip, the main item will be the flight tickets which will cost for about 700 € (Prague -> Vancouver, Calgary -> Prague). Then the fees for camps (on some spots it is possible to sleep outside the camps, depending on the situation), food, transport, insurance, tourist visa, some other sport and recreational activities etc. Total price could be around 1600 €.

If I found at least 7 or 8 interested people I would start with more detailed organization.

I will be glad if someone is interested or will tell friends and we can do this.
